Stillgigging is simple – it’s about the gigs, the people who perform them and the fans that watch them. It’s also to do with the longevity of some of the legendary performers and the loyalty of the fans to these stars of their generation.
It’s about building a unique music community dedicated to iconic bands and artists from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s bygone eras, in a bid to fill a long awaited hole in the worldwide music industry.
Our main mission is to give bands and artists the opportunity to reconnect and reunite at various venues with their fans that may not be aware they are still gigging.
We want to help you reach into your past and rediscover, relive and share your musical memories with fellow fans.
Let me take you back two years….
Have you ever been driving along in your car or sat in a bar chatting with friends when suddenly you hear, either on the radio or the pub jukebox a track from a band you remember loving years ago and wondered to yourself – are they stillgigging?
I did exactly that when I heard a Stray Cats song on the jukebox at my local pub. So I hunted around the Internet a bit, it took some time mind you, and found they were just about to tour the UK. I couldn’t believe it! I had last seen them in Sheffield in 1980!
Well, that got me thinking. I wondered if there were others out there like me who would love to go and see those old bands – and maybe share memories with people just like me, who were there when the band first came to prominence.
And so, alongside some of my friends and the stillgigging team we created www.stillgigging.com.
So what are you waiting for?
Rediscover your musical memories today!
